On July 26th 2018, we celebrated the opening of our new Des Moines, Iowa office with a mixer and welcome party held at Gravitate Coworking, a coworking space for entrepreneurs in downtown Des Moines. It was an exciting time to introduce ourselves to the Des Moines community and meet and greet entrepreneurs and insurance professionals from around the area.
Limelight is thrilled to be opening a location in Des Moines because it’s always been a great environment for insurance, and over the last 15 years, it’s transformed into an up-and-coming entrepreneurial and hip city. With over 80 insurance companies headquartered in Des Moines, and over 200 in the state of Iowa, it’s truly the centerpoint for innovation in insurance in the United States, and it’s quickly becoming one of America’s next creative hubs for startups.
We felt warmly welcomed by the community, as we had twice the turnout that we expected!
Developers and insurance executives enjoyed beer, wine and appetizers while getting to know the Limelight team and learning about what we’re doing in Iowa. Insurtech is hot and getting hotter in Des Moines, and it was great to meet people from both the software startup and insurance industries coming together to see how they can bring Des Moines’ community spirit to the insurtech industry.

We’re looking forward to beefing up our staff with experts that come from the insurance industry, so we can create a great insurtech solution,” said Young Han, Director of Operations.
Limelight CEO Jason T. Andrew added: “I’m personally thrilled to be opening an office in Des Moines. It’s an incredibly cool city that is getting discovered, and the first time I visited I got a vision that one day we would open a location there. I’m really eager to get to know the Des Moines community and bring jobs and innovation to the area.”
